This below courtyard was several inches deep in bird guano from pigeons nesting on pipe work and ducts. The answer was to remove all guano (several van loads) and to proof the pigeons from returning. As you can see from the bottom right picture the amount of German Cockroaches nesting in the warm wet guano was really unbelievable.
